The Community of Piñán is an Andean community that is located 3112m high in the heart of the Cotacachi Cayapas Ecological Reserve, distanced by two days of walking (on foot or horse) from the nearest populated centers, and 4 hours by car from Otavalo or Ibarra.
This tour consists of progression and camping for 4 days we will walking across the paramo, the Andean forest and the subtropical forest where we will experience about the climate change. On this route we will find many types of plants and a unique landscape of hills, mountains, rivers and its people.

Our departure is at 8h00am from the Hotel or specified place. Our transport will take us approximately 2 hours to the Churos place located at 3800 meters above sea level.
Then we will begin the walk crossing the Andes of Piñan to a river located at 3200 meters above sea level, we can observe the condor and other types of birds and beautiful panoram about the mountains. A river is a place where we will set up the campsite and prepare the food of the dinner.
This day we will raise the camp to address the community of Piñan. At 9h00am we will cross the paramo until we reach the community of Piñan and this day offers us a view of the canyons and if the day is clear we can to see the Donoso lagoon.
We will arrive at 2pm and we will have time to have lunch in the cabin and overnight at the lodge.
After a delicious breakfast, our route continues to the lower part of Pineapple. This route will cross hills and rivers and with an excellent panoramic view. We will walk through a forest and you can find several native species and endemic plants or orchids.
We will arrive in the afternoon at the campsite and dinner.
Breakfast. Then we will advance in descent towards the indigenous community of Intag, on this route we will have the view of the Intag valley . After walk, our transport will take us for lunch and time to enjoy the hot springs.
In the afternoon transport to Otavalo and end of services.
