The lake that is in the Cubilche plateau, in the community of Paniquinrra in the parish of La Esperanza, has a very circular shape, is of volcanic origin and has no external tributary so we can have the water supply is given from it´s inside. The water mirror is located in a diameter of 30 meters.
The crater in which the lagoons are located has an area of approximately 10 hectares.
It is possible to observe the lagoon of San Pablo and the surrounding populations. On the south we have the San Francisco hill and the Mojanda Knot. To the northeast of the valley of Ibarra and the lagoon of Yahuarcocha, to the east the bottom can be observed the snowy Cayambe and in the near and low part the valley of Zuleta and to the west is the hill Imbabura.
This beautiful tourist attraction is perfect for hiking, mountaineering, bicycle handling, observation and enjoyment of flora and fauna.

We will starts hiking to the summit of this mountain take around 3 hours up.
We will walking around the lake and enjoy the beautiful landscape, if is clear days offer a good view about Imbabura volcano, Cayambe volcano, San Pablo lake, Yahuarcocha lake and others.
We go down it´s will take around 1 or 2 hours walking to the base, where we will take a car to otavalo and end our services
