The indigenous communities of Otavalo are live an ancient tradition with ritual practices that are part of the gratitude, health and experience with the pachamama. This is a tour to know the ancestral medicine that consists of providing medical attention for healing or purification practice. Health and Spirituality are very important for the indigenous peoples.
Plants are very important for indigenous cosmovision because it extracts healing properties for purification and healing, in addition to direct contact with the vital liquid that is Water, shaman or yachac is in charge of this millenary activities.
We will visit an indigenous woman who works as a midwife, in charge of carrying out pregnancy control and care when the child birth. We will have an explanation of the method used for this treatment.

We leave from Otavalo with our transportation to the indigenous communities.
We will arrive to the indigenous family and we meet with the shaman or Yachac where he gives us a brief explanation of the method and we have a ritual of purification in a sacred place called Tun Tun, accompanied by plants and flowers.
We will continue the visit to other indigenous family, she is a midwife, who performs the pregnancy checks and during the birth, we will have a brief explanation and all materials needed for the treatment.
Then, from the last activity we go by car to have lunch with a local indigenous family or in a restaurant.
Our transport takes us back to Otavalo and end of services.
